I - The Court

The two lawyers looked at themselves menacingly. They both represented large cooperate firms with so much at stake. The winner will reign eternal in the legal gladiatorial arena with large packages and promotion while the loser might have to get another job.

Greg Boar was tall, handsome with a well-formed body visible through the three piece suit he had on and looked every inch the always-win lawyer you see on television series. He strolled to his desk like he was in charge of the court and had the odds decided in his favor. A Harvard graduate with an overly successful law career, he represented SyncBones, a tech corporation with heavy interests in producing robotic enhanced body parts. Their products looked so real and worked flawlessly that it was hard to tell if they were real or not.

Linda knave stared at Greg with derision. For months, she had heard about the famous handsome lawyer who was brutal in the court and knightly in the bedroom. Right now, she had a reputation to maintain and she surely wasn’t going to lose her head over someone who clearly had an overinflated sense of importance. If there was anything she would give to Greg, it would be the most spectacular defeat he had ever had. She ached her neck and sat at her corner besides Anthony Drive, the in house attorney for Blessed BioTech.

Blessed BioTech had been researching on a new synthetic heart prototype that powered itself using the blood in the body as fuel, more like the way turbines at dams provide electricity. The heart would function as a natural heart would. This would mean patients could use the synthetic heart without having to bother with batteries and frequent checkups. It was just perfect.

However, Linda came into the picture when SyncBones claimed Blessed BioTech’s newest employee, and lead scientist for the development of the synthetic heart stole the idea from them. Truth is the employee had actually worked for a number of years with SyncBones before he sought greener pastures in Blessed BioTech. SyncBones had filed a suit and after losing the case, Blessed BioTech decided to bring Linda in. She was called to fly halfway round the world to either win or burn. It was a fairly complicated case. The result will set precedence for future cases of such nature.

The bailiff announced the entrance of the judge, they all stood up, waited for the judge, took their seats and the proceedings began

II – The Market

Linda was having a hard time finding her way through the Virgin City, an artificial island off the coast of Hawaii. It was technically an obscenely large floating boat for corporations who wanted to carry out research without the intruding oversights of governments, regulators and religious fanatics. How the island operated had been a sort of mystery to many. It had its own government based on a constitution drawn up by its founding fathers.

However, this city was anything but a virgin. At night, alleys and street corners came alive with junks, louts, hackers, illegal robotic enhancement dealers, night clubs with both human and robotic call girls (each looking like the other) and freelancers who could produce or steal anything if you had the right payment in the right quantity.

She arrived a neighborhood that housed three reputable research firms by day and a trade fair for amateurs to trade goods and services by night. She was wearing a large tunic purposely to cover her voluptuous breasts, which would have drawn undue attention to her. The thought of how people think she had graduated summa cum laude, won all her high profile cases and made senior partner by sleeping her way through began to sting her. She brushed it aside by telling herself that what people thought about her didn’t matter. Right now, she couldn’t sleep and was looking for where she could buy a vibrator. She needed to blow some steam kill boredom till she fell asleep. It was either that or getting herself drunk and she didn’t want the hangover that came with the second option.

Greg emptied the glass cup and returned it to the bartender. The bartender looked at him inquiringly and Gray responded by shaking his head. One more drink and he definitely wouldn’t be able to say no anymore. He gave a bored scan around the night market half looking for anything that might interest him. He noticed a lady in an excessively large tunic try to wiggle herself free from a trader who obviously didn’t want no for an answer. Whether the trader was trying to sell her something or it more than business wasn’t obvious. What was obvious was that she had no interest and was being held against her will. Greg suddenly found purpose and leaped to the rescue.

Linda didn’t want any of the C-virus, a chemical substance that induced orgasm once administered. Although she had spent a half of her career defending new generation biotech companies, none of these new inventions never appealed to her. She preferred to have feel real human body, share sexual warmth and exhalations and fall asleep into each other’s embrace. Not this… She didn’t have a word for it but it repulsed her. She gave the trader a hard push and tried to force her way though. Instead, she bumped into a hard wall. No, it wasn’t a wall. She could feel the throbbing heart underneath the immense landscape of muscles.

Greg felt he had seen her before but he couldn’t quite place the face. He noticed something wet on his chest. He looked down to seek a red stain on his white flannel shirt. Blood? No, it's was just the C-virus that spilled on them when she suddenly pushed the trader. He looked at the lady who was just as shocked as he did, except she had both palms on his chest. Her touch had set his chest on fire and the heat was getting unbearable. Maybe his little man below had gotten drunk and was losing it. He pushed away thoughts as quickly as they stirred within him. He took a step back and noticed the face. It was Linda knave, famously called the viper. He knew from reputation that she was fire and brimstone but it took her performance in court to prove it. It was as if she had read his brief. He remembered the near hate he had tried to contain as she employed sarcasm in tearing out his opening arguments. Now, he could reach any of the hate. He looked at her and saw a beautiful woman he would have melted for if they weren’t opponents. To feel such attraction for one’s enemy was strange, yet intensely powerful.

Linda asked herself why her hands were still on his chest. For fuck sakes, this was her opponent. She wasn’t even to talk to him. Yet, she couldn’t deny that the throb in his heart had set hers racing. Suddenly, she heard a voice ask what how it would feel to brush her lips against his. Yuck, she thought. But it wasn’t yuck. It was a strong ting of gin and a faint taste of fluoride. No, that certainly was just his lips. The fluoride taste must have come from his tongue. The voice asked again, this time for how it felt to feel the back of his neck in her hands. Her left hand on his neck will only bring him closer, closer while she dug deep into the sweetness of his kiss.

Greg couldn’t believe he was kissing Linda with so much passion. He wanted to take a break to think it through but he had lost control of his own body. The moment Linda pulled his neck closer, his entire body became consumed with passion. His hands pulled against the small of her back, bringing her closer, but she just wasn’t close enough. Just as he wanted to take another plunge into her mouth, he heard the hooting and guffawing from a small crowd that had formed to enjoy the drama.

Linda was shocked when she heard the increasing cheering and hooting. She turned to look when Greg pulled her back to face him. Her face was immediately buried in his broad sensuous chest as he began to move away. What was he trying to do, save her identity from the crowd? Who did he think he was? What did he take her for? So his career could endure being caught kissing in public but her couldn’t? She tried to break free from his hold but he didn’t bulge. She blamed herself for everything. If only she had read herself to sleep, or not attended to that annoying trader or reached for his lips. Her mind corrected her on the last point. She didn’t regret kissing him.

Greg wondered why she was pushing against him as he tried to move away from public glare. He was trying to save the both of them from the onslaught that would occur if anyone in the crowd recognized who she was. Hell! that would spell the end of their career. He knew she valued her career just as he valued his. Everyone there recognized him because he had been in the market earlier that night looking for anything that might catch his fancy. She, on the other hand, had made a subtle appearance. All the world will ever know is that Greg Boar, the knight in shining armor, shielded a woman from public glare, nothing more.

III – The Car

Linda couldn’t help the pounding in her head. Greg had left her off a street corner and scurried away. She was out here with no clue of where her hotel was. What again was the name, GrandVille? GrandVilla? GrandVillage? She had no idea. Her body was still recovering from the encounter with Greg. She didn’t even understand herself anymore. She heard a crackle of thunder and it began to rain. Perfect! She hurried along the pathway looking for where she might take shelter.

Greg sat in the driver’s seat of his rental car cursing to himself. He shouldn’t have left her all alone by herself. Hell! What was he supposed to do? She was one of those independent women who had gotten everything she had through her own sweat. She didn’t need a man then and certainly didn’t want one now. What was he thinking; rushing off to help someone who didn’t need his help. And the kiss…. The kiss…. The banging on the other side of the car broke him out of his reverie.

Linda wondered if anyone was in the car. It was unlike her to request help from strangers but the cold was biting into her skin and she couldn’t think of an alternative. She had noticed the brake lights from afar and hoped the driver could kindly take her to her hotel. It was a famous hotel; surely, not many five-star hotels’ names began with Grand. As the side window rolled down, she peered in to look at her benefactor and prepared to explain her plight. Instead, she saw the man she blamed for ruining her night.

Greg opened the door and watched her think for a moment. If only she understood that he respected her for who she was. He wasn’t trying to act the ‘save the poor lady’. Last he checked, she was even worth more than he did. He just wanted to lend a helping hand. Perhaps, she’s wondering if he had ulterior motives. He turned on the ignition and waited for her to make up her mind. When she finally got into the car, Greg noticed for the first time how endowed she was. Her rain sodden dress had pressed against her body drawing out the outline of her entire body.

Linda noticed Greg staring at her. That was usual. What wasn’t was the way her body was responding. She usually hated it when guys starred at her breasts from too long. It also make her very uncomfortable. However, what she was feeling was neither hatred nor discomfort. She felt her thighs press against each other. Grey offered his leather jacket and she made to hold it at once, grateful for the warmth and privacy it would bring. But Greg wouldn’t leave it.

Greg was sure something was wrong with him. It seemed like the car was becoming too hot for him. They both held the jacket, each wondering what was going on in the other person’s mind. Greg was sure there was not nothing in his mind. He surely wasn’t thinking when he reach over and kissed her full on the lips. Just as his lips brushed against her, he could sense the alarm on her face. He left the jacket and made to return to his seat. Just then, he felt someone hold his hand.

Linda held strongly to Greg’s hand while she slowly pushed him back into the driver’s seat. She crossed over, sat on his laps and kissed him full on the lips. Each touch deeper and warmer than the last. Soon, the car became too hot and there was no need for her tunic. She lowered the seat so Greg could recline, giving more room to obey the voice in her head. With the car still in ignition, she unbuckled his trousers and felt the hot blood running in the veins of his little man. With one deft move, she parted her legs and sat on him. Tomorrow, they would engaged in another round of legal warfare. Tonight, she was going to ride him to the finish.

Just as an aside, where can I buy C-virus? Asking for a friend, obviously :D

Haha

Tell your friend I don't know either. My muse simply whispered it into my ear and walked away.

Lol

hahah the pesky muse. They always do shit like that ;)

This is so captivating. I was glued to my phone reading this just now. I'm not sure I have read quite a lengthy, yet attention-arresting post as this. This is so so dope👌👌
