CONSEQUENCES OF ANGER...

A carpenter went home after Closing down his workshop. Later the same day, a black poisonous cobra entered his workshop.

The cobra was hungry and hoped to find its supper lurking somewhere within. It slithered from one end to another and accidentally bumped into a double-edged metal axe and got slightly injured.

In anger and seeking revenge, the snake bit the axe with full force. But, what could a bite do to a metallic axe? Instead the cobra’s mouth started bleeding.

Out of fury and arrogance, the cobra tried its best to strangle and kill the object that was causing it pain by wrapping itself very tightly around the blades.

The next day when the carpenter opened the workshop, he found a seriously cut, dead cobra wrapped around the axe blades.

The cobra died not because of someone else’s action or effort but merely because of its own anger, wrath and quest for vengeance.

Sometimes, in life, when we are angry over something or someone, we try to cause harm to others to gain revenge, but as time passes by, we realise that we have only succeeded in causing more harm to ourselves.

Its a difficult path to take, but for a happy life, it’s best we should learn to ignore and overlook those things, people, incidents, affairs and matters that brings us sadness and vexation, but rather focus on the things that brings us Joy.

It is not necessary that we show a reaction to everything. Sometimes, we can just step back and ask ourselves, if the matter is really worth responding or reacting to.

Let us Treat people with kindness even if they hurt you.

People that show no inclination to change, are best handled with silence and prayer(their souls are troubled and causing hurt is the way they find peace. They can only be salvaged by prayers).

Every new week, i pray, Dear GOD, If I hurt someone, grant me the humility & the courage to ask for forgiveness and the strength to forgive those that hurt me.*

Note that anger is the punishment we give to ourselves as a result of mistakes of others

Very nice! I especially liked the part about people who hurt being ignored, or handled with silence. I tried to promote, but I don't have enough steem power>-( I did like and follow!

Thanks for your comment dear

Thanks @frank4jesus for this message. At times we are consumed by the idea of getting even with the person that hurt us. Your point there is if it really matters to react sometimes I do agree with it.

Sometimes it will be better to respond in meekness rather than react.
