Nelson was dumbfounded when he heard the news, he didn't know if he should cry or walk away. He just sat there staring at the doctor, thinking of how Helen will react to the news.

After few minutes of silence, the doctor broke the silence.

Doctor : I don't think it will be a good idea to tell her for now. Let her recover a bit before you break the news to her.

Nelson with tears in his eyes nodded in affirmation and left the office. He didn't go to Helen's room because he did not want her to see him like that. After he had gotten hold of himself he went to the room to find Mia and Clara already there with Helen, he smiled and laughed like nothing happened and it felt nice to be with his wife and daughter once again.

Months later.
Nelson was in the hospital restless and worried praying his wife makes it out alive while Helen was in the labour room.

After a while a nurse walks towards Nelson.

Nurse : congratulations sir, you have a baby girl.
Nelson : (Excited) How is my wife? When can I see them?
Nurse : They are both fine but you Can't see them now,they are being cleaned up.
Nelson : Alright. Thank you nurse.

It was a day of joy, they finally had a child of their own, they named her Sansa.

...11 years later...

Sansa grew up to be loved and pampered by her parents, they gave her everything and anything she wanted, all the love was diverted to Sansa and it made Clara jealous.

Clara and Sansa grew up to hate each other, they were always fighting and Sansa always had the support of their mother. Clara hated Sansa because she took all the love away from her.

Clara was watching Television in the living room, Sansa walked into the living room picked the remote and changed the TV station.
Clara : (angry) what is the meaning of that? Why would you change the station without asking?
Sansa : I want to watch cartoon and I don't care if you were watching that rubbish or not.
Clara : Are you insane? I'm your elder.
Sansa : Who cares?

As Clara was about to raise her hand to slap Sansa, their mother came out of her room on her wheelchair and shouted at Clara to stop .

Helen : Clara is your younger sister, you shouldn't try to hit her.
Clara : But mum she doesn't respect me.
Helen : She's just a little girl, Besides aren't you meant to be reading. You have not been able to gain admission into any university and all you think about is TV.
Sansa : She's always watching movies, instead of reading
Clara : If i slap you.
Helen : Clara, to your room now.

Clara left for her room angrily and Helen said nothing to Sansa.

Some days later

Clara heard a knock at the door, she answered the door and it was two of sansa's friends.

Clara : Sansa is not home. Please leave.
Sansa's friends : But Sansa....
Clara : I said she's not home.

As they were about leaving Sansa came out of her room and Clara shut the door immediately.

Sansa : Why did you shut the door against my friends .
Clara : I don't want them in this house.
Sansa : You are doing this because mum is not home right. Mum must hear this.
Clara : Telling mum won't change anything, I already sent your friends away. Spoilt brat.
Sansa : (crying) I hate you. I wish you were not my sister, I would shoot you if I had a gun.
Clara : Oh! You don't know how much I hate you, i wish I was the only child. I should have strangled you in your cradle years ago.

Sansa ran to her room crying, she reported Clara to their parents later that day. Nelson talked to the girls and gave a lot of advice and told them to respect each other. After so much talking he asked the girls to apologize to each other Which they did.

After the girls left, it was just Nelson and Helen in the room .

Nelson : You know, you're partially the cause of this constant fighting.
Helen : How? I didn't tell them to fight.
Nelson : You don't have to tell them. You are always supporting and pampering Sansa which is not right.
Helen : You can't blame me for that, Sansa is my only child.
Nelson : What are you saying? Clara is also our child .
Helen : Clara was adopted, my only child is Sansa.
Nelson : But we promised to treat Clara like our child.
Helen : I'm treating her well. I just don't want anything to happen to my only daughter.
Nelson : I am disappointed.

Meanwhile, little Sansa was already rushing back to her parents room to report another fight but before she could knock, she heard them talking about Clara and decided to listen first.
She heard everything her parents said about Clara.

Sansa : (talking to herself) So Clara is not my sister, she was adopted. I will make her life miserable.
Sansa smiled mischievously and left for her room.
