One day, while Arjun was working in his fields, he stumbled upon a small, dusty lamp half-buried in the soil. Curious, he picked it up and wiped it clean. To his astonishment, a golden glow emerged from the lamp, and out came a genie! The genie bowed deeply and spoke, "Thank you for freeing me, kind sir. In return, I will grant you one wish."

Arjun, though surprised, knew exactly what he wanted. He wished for a donkey that could bring him wealth and prosperity, as he knew nothing of gold or jewels. The genie nodded and vanished, leaving behind Shyam, who had transformed into a magnificent golden donkey.

Shyam's new golden coat shimmered in the sunlight, and the villagers were amazed by the sight. However, it wasn't just the donkey's appearance that had changed; each morning, Shyam would miraculously produce a pile of golden coins from his mouth. Arjun was overjoyed and quickly became the wealthiest man in the village.

With his newfound wealth, Arjun built a beautiful home, bought more land, and helped the villagers with their needs. He never forgot his humble beginnings and remained generous and kind-hearted. Shyam the golden donkey became a beloved figure in the village, and Arjun took great care of him, ensuring he lived a comfortable and happy life.

However, as time passed, word of the golden donkey spread far and wide. A greedy merchant from a distant city heard about Shyam and decided to steal him. One night, he snuck into Arjun's farm and took Shyam away. Arjun was heartbroken when he discovered the theft, but he knew that no matter what, he would always be rich in spirit and generosity.

The greedy merchant tried to make Shyam produce gold for him, but the donkey refused. No matter what the merchant did, Shyam remained silent. Frustrated and angry, the merchant finally gave up and left Shyam in the middle of a forest. Lost and alone, Shyam wandered until he stumbled upon Arjun's farm once again.
