Jinju is well known as "Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival" these days.
Except Yudeung festival, Jinjy city was very famous as a historic and a beautiful city for a long time.
I would like to introduce the most famous spot to take photo in Jinju city.

Thsi spot is the best spot to take photos and pictures for Jinju castle and Nam river.
So many artists paint jinju castle in their ways.

Here is the work of one of the artists.

With their work behind us, I have to come to the Nam river following my son.
Including drawing, all kinds of the study are not my son's interest.

This boat pier is the only interest of my son.
From the photo zone, it seems that I heard the order to go to the boat pier more than 100 times from my son.

I just follow the king of my house, and ask the price to staff to ride boat for 1 hour.
Unfortunately, that was free and no limit to enjoy because of a kinds of campaign.
(This campaign will continue through the end of September)
It means, I have to be a drive until my son is not interested in the boat anymore despite of my back pain.

Paddling carefully,, go backwards.
I am responsible for my children's safety.

I paddled, stirred, and paddled again towards my son's point.

Actually, I am now leading you to a most historical place in Jinju city.

Let's talk about this historical place.
At the time of Japanese Invasion of Korea (in 1592 ~ 1598), Jinju citizen and solders resisted violently against the Japanese army.
However, due to poor conditions,the castle was conquered by the second invasion in 1593.
When Chinju castle was collapsed, "Choi Kyunghee" the general of citizen soldiers suicide to the Nam River.

The Japanese generals had a banquet as a victory celebration on this floating lock, named "Eui-am".
The second wife of suicided general, named "Nongae", attended banquet as a dancer.
She danced with the Japanese general on the rock, suddenly hanged all her fingers to Japanese general's and committed suicide as the revenge of the country and her husband.

After this incident our ancestors defeated the Japanese soldiers in 1598, we still have annual ceremony for Nongae every year in Jinju castle.

After give my children the story of "Nongae", i could comeback to the boat pier in safe.

For me, this place is the most traditional and beautiful place in Korea.
Just visit there and enjoy very Korean places around Jinju castle.
