Just a Day in the Park...

I love the neighborhood we live in. It’s a quiet street just a stones throw away from a convenience store and civilization. Just a few houses away lies a big park with 2 baseball fields. This is where I usually walk my pups to and it so happens that I did just that yesterday morning when my nephew’s baseball team was playing a game at one of the fields.

I got up early with my girl Bindi because...well...that’s just how it goes now. With her dementia kicking in she’s up bright and early and ready for the day ahead. So I fed the pups and got ready to head over for the 10 am start time to meet my sister and father who were also joining to cheer on Mason’s (nephew) team.

I got the wagon out and loaded Bindi inside for the short ride. Her sister Maya attached at her side so it hopefully still gives Bindi the feel of moving with her ever shrinking pack. Within a couple of minutes, we arrived and the game was in effect.

I’ve gone to a few of these now...not just to show support for my nephew who is a monster athlete and gets excited when he sees family supporting him, but to just catch up with my sister, father, and whomever else shows up. In this case it was just a small group.

I latched the leash for Maya onto my other nephew Justin and he ran her good for about an hour. Back and forth...visiting with all the onlookers, kids, and other parents. They both got a workout and Maya passed out shortly after getting back home after loading up on what was about 4000 gallons of water.

But while at the park, the kids and pups had a blast.

Speaking of my pops...it was good to see him. I hadn’t seen him or any family in about a week and a half. With NYCC last week and playing catch up this week, there hasn’t been much time for bullshitting as of late. It was good to see him but also a tad upsetting. At one point I saw him tear up a bit when he brought up his pup Chloe who passed away abruptly last month after falling ill. He held Bindi’s head, gave her a kiss and some scratches and he said “no more treats Bindi” which broke my heart.

Ya see...my dad would ALWAYS have a couple of dog treats in his pocket when he cane over or popped by. He relished in delight at the sight of the dogs always pawning over him. He earned their love and respect early on with this tactic and would make them all sit as he dished out some yums at each and every meeting with my pack. I think he got rid of all evidence of having a dog once Chloe left his house as it was all too painful...this includes treats sadly.

I asked how he was doing with Chloe’s absence and he told me pretty good...but that once in a while something just gets him. He said yesterday he went to get the mail from the mailbox and then called back to her as she would always follow him out there then back in...right by his side. He said he immediately caught himself but for that brief second, he thought she was there with him. I know these mishaps all too well with my boys Bandit and Kitano departing. I have a laundry list of these experiences and it’s a strange feeling to shake.

Either way, I could see my dad was happy to see the pups...even if it struck up an uneasy feeling regarding Chloe. That’s sadly just going to happen.

All in all, the visit went well. The pups got some lovely attention, I got to catch up with family that I missed, and I got my mind off of the hard issues that have been plaguing me for even just an hour or two. That is something that money can’t buy.

Oh...Mason played well but the team, got their asses handed to em. Next game buddy...next game.

Looks like a stellar, chill day with the fam.

That is sad about your dad and Chloe. Too many folks I know have had to let go of their pups this year. It is something I haven’t had to experience as an adult but I absolutely dread.😔

Good to see Bindi and Maya our enjoying this sun. ❤️

Yeah. It was well needed. Today on the other hand...full of challenges. She’s hanging a rough day. Extremely whiney and will not settle. On top of the fact that I think she’s high as a kite with her meds...just one of those days. I’ve been up since 6:45 am tending to her. Today is one of the rough ones. Hope tomorrow is better.

It’s truly the worst...losing a pup. My heart breaks for my pops.

❤️

I'm not gonna lie, I am fairly tempted to pop into MS paint and make this a reality. It would make Caesar Milano absolutely frothing at the mouth with jealousy, I'm sure.

lol. Do it!!! That’ll earn ya a 100% vote from me. Lol

Also your shit is packed and ready to go. Hoping to get it dropped off today. Latest tomorrow. I’ll shoot you tracking once debt. As per the usual, there is a bonus due to my delay. Lol

I'll try to remember to do it in a few days and post it when I do for you, dood. I don't think I'm gonna be able to post much to here for the next 5 days. I need to fix the bullshit going on in my home first which is going to take some time, probably won't be too active on here for 4-5 days.

And, that's alright, man. I sent you a joke message about the pops a few days ago on facebook, wasn't sure if you saw that or not. If you didn't get them out today, just try to get them out in the next week or two if you can. As I have said before, I know you're good on your word and will get them over to me. Your schedule and life seems to have been pretty chaotic in the past few weeks, so I haven't been getting upset over it or anything. Mainly because you're such a filthy whore.

But, yeah. Remember to use the address I had you use last time instead of my apartment. And, I'll look forward to the bonus pop! (You know, that's also another reason why I don't get upset if you take a month or two to ship my stuff, you know how to wine and dine me while you give me that sweet reach around, baby.)
