What Really Matters!!
John the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company had recorded success in almost everything but being a good father ever since the death of his wife and having no desire to ever happen remarry. He had neglected his son Jake and left him in the care of the Butler to run his numerous companies around the world.
So it was no surprise that Jake now fifteen grew up rebellious and a constant thorn on his father's side on account of the toxic lifestyle he had grown accustomed characterized by the wild crowd he was hanging around with always ended up putting him in constant trouble .
Jake's father had tried everything from grounding him, freezing his bank account, sending him to boarding schools that Jake had somehow managed to get himself expelled from everytime .
One of John's close friends advised him that in order to repair the rift that had grown between them.He had to spend more time with his son now to recreate the father-son dynamic that had been lost through years of neglect.
John persuaded his son to sail with him to as many countries as possible on the cruise ship he had bought and staffed with seasoned hands to help with navigation and management of the cruise ship .
For a period of one year John and his son became closer from their joint experience of sailing the open seas, battling through stormy seas , visiting the various islands to interact with the locals that inhabited them also going on a tour around the island to see the exotic animals native to the island.laying anchor ⚓ in different countries harbour and spending days on land touring interesting landmarks .
At the end of the voyage John promised Jake to make him a priority in his life and not to let the company come between them .
On his part Jake promised to take his studies serious and to be the model son that his father wanted. And so ladies and gents to conclude the story make time for what really matters in life by building relationships that would stand the test of time and not sacrificing them on the alter of selfishness.
