ZIMFORA - A Love Story [1]

Where we found ourselves
It all started from when we woke up in the thick forest. We were a little disoriented (sorry.....seriously disoriented) to find ourselves there.

We were still grateful that none of us were injured, we were all on the ground, safe and sound, bewildered, but still happy we were alive and healthy. We started counting ourselves, to check if we were complete. "Oh no....., some of us were missing" . Panicking starts as boyfriends began the unfruitful calling out to their girlfriends; brothers calling out to their sisters, friends searching for their friends, things weren't looking promising, there was chaos everywhere.

OK..Wait,backtrack the scene to the early hours of the day, it all started from when we were still in real world, in the world of men. My friends and I decided to visit a museum, somewhere not too far from our college. Date was picked, plans were made and finally- It was Friday, our Friday that we waited for in excitement- the Friday that was going to change a lot about our normal lives. We gathered in front the Saint Anthony's building opposite the department's building in college compound where a bus waited to take us to the Museum. Like we expected, many didn't show up at the expected time. We tried to call and alas, after four of waiting in agony and disappointment, they showed up an the bus moved.

We got to the museum at exactly 2:45 pm. It was at the entrance of the National Museum I saw her, the perfect girl of my dreams, short, but not too short, fair in complexion, serious looking and had that sexy way of walking. I couldn't stop staring at her, my friends chided me, and me being the shy type, i just forgot about the whole thing.

We were about a 100 in the museum, mostly girls.
We were at a building, where ancient artifacts were kept. Pictures of forest and scary wildlife hanging on the walls
We were told not to touch anything at all, but u know teenagers, they do. (OK ,we do ) the opposite of what we are told.

All of a sudden, there was a noise that drew everyone's attention to the back, then there was a bright white light that momentarily blinded us all, and there was total darkness.

That was when we woke up.

Ok.....back to where we stopped.
A guy named dipo, (trying to act matured) stood up and tried to calm the group down, not to worry, this caused another uproar.

Dipo: guys calm down, let's calm down, let's try to figure out where we are and how we got here.

A guy from the crowd: How can we calm down, one minute we are in a museum, the next,we find ourselves in a "forbidden forest"

Another guy: Yea, how can we? we don't even know where we are

Dipo: (actually an idiot who loves being in the spotlight) I know we don't have an idea of where we are, but if we can just calm down and get our bearings.

Then suddenly there was a loud roar, every body freezes, not knowing what to do, Dipo our potential leader is frozen in shock. Then there was silence, all of a sudden a creature jumped into our midst. This creature or should I say thing had two heads of a lion, had the body of a bull and the tail of a tiger (chimerism at its peak right?).

That's when I come in.........

Okay...am not handsome or cute or anything, am just a normal guy with simple needs. Am of average height, thin, chocolate in complexion, suffering from astigmatism (so wearing glasses).

I was able to take note of these features mostly because I was in shock (at least most of us were). Then the next minute it was total chaos, no one had any idea of the direction they were going to.

The noise that brought me back to earth was the high pitched scream of Dipo.
Even when i came to, i couldn't move any part of my body.

Then the creature grabbed someone (i think it was a girl). Still in my shocked state, i could only stare as the creature-thingy took the girl and bounced away.

Then a noise like an alert on your cellular phone sounded up above me, i look up to see the fading words of 100-1. Still in my shocked state, i didn't give it any thought, all I could think of "it's all a dream, you are soon going to wake up".
If not, i was in serious trouble.
