The House Hut (Introduction) PART 1

First of all, I would like to thank @michelle.gent for letting me use the #story-mentor tag as one of my tags to my story.

This is the introduction story about my original content "The House Hut". In this part, you will know some of the characters and the imaginary place where they are in.

The place is in Udonthani, Thailand, one of the village in the province of Udon. ‘The place that Jerry Damsy, a millionaire, has chosen to build a house hut.'

“Only some finishing touches for this hut and it’s done Jerry.” Jimmy said with a broadest smile.

Jimmy is the Foreman of Jerry who’s making the house hut for him.

“Yes, your work was perfect. It’s all about what I told you to do.” Jerry said.

“That’s what you wanted so, you got it Mr. Jerry.” Jimmy said with a boasting voice.

Jerry looks around the house hut. He had a great feeling of satisfaction and excitement.

“There’s still lack of vegetable plants around to be as beautiful as a garden” Jerry says with laughter.

Nowadays, Jimmy and his staffs have been building Jerry’s house hut like a normal house that’s good for two people.

The total breadth of the house hut that they’re constructing is about 60 by 60 meters. The rooftop is made out of the trunk with three wooden axes that span apart. The wall of the house hut is wavy and the windows are made of wrought iron that you need to build a long wood to open. The style of the mini house is like a provincial house made.

The stairs are made from bamboo that’s connected to the balcony that made from bamboo as well as the floor. The door is too light that can easily hold it up by one person. Inside this mini house has a room where the bed is paved for two people. The main living room, there are furniture that made from bamboo and has a long sofa. The floor is made up of wood. The surrounding grounds of the house are covered with bamboo shafts, something that gives an outside view of a typical house hut.

“I will tell my staffs to plant some vegetables around, would you like it, Jerry?” Jimmy said in response to what Jerry said earlier.

“No thank you, Jimmy. I think it would take some time before the vegetables grow.” Jerry replied.

“Why? You told me that you’re building this mini house as your vacation home?” Jimmy asked Jerry with a simple smile on his face.

“No, Jimmy. I will maybe just stay here about a month. I mean, with my fiancé, Cherry.”

Jimmy was surprised about what Jerry said. He looked at him like there’s something wrong of what he just said and looking at him and thinking if he’s telling the truth.

“Are you getting married, Jerry?” Jimmy asked confusingly.

Jerry answered only with a glimpse of smile.

“You mean, you’re building this house hut and you’ll live here in only a month?” Jimmy asked him again confusingly.

“Yes, Jimmy. We will stay here as our honeymoon after we get married.” Jerry laughed when he answered Jimmy.

Jimmy stands like he was very confused about what Jerry means about living here for only one month. He could not believe on what he just heard from Jerry.

“This mini house that you wanted to build in will be your gift as a honeymoon with your spouse?” Jimmy asked while scratching his head.

“Yes, Jimmy. What’s surprising about that?” Jerry asked.

“I’m very surprised about it, Jerry.” Jimmy said.

“What do you mean by that?” Jerry asked again.

“Well, you’re millionaire, I guess you and your spouse could live in a five star hotel.” Jimmy said.

Jerry just smiled on what Jimmy was telling him lately.

“You know, Jimmy, I am very bored of being a millionaire and bored of working in other country. If you’re asking me about a five star hotel, I’m very bored about it, too. I want to experience something new in my life.” Jerry said while smiling.

What Jerry said was true. In fact, one of their businesses is a hotel. He does have two star hotels besides the five condominiums they have. His future bride, Cherry, is just like him, too. Rich and her family lineage recognized by most of the people in Udonthani province.

“Did you mean, this was your idea to be in a different atmosphere?” Jimmy asked Jerry again. Jimmy’s voice floats on the question of asking that.

“You’re right. Both of us want to live in a place that hadn’t been before. So, we want to be different and the things and surroundings that we haven’t seen before.”

Jimmy shook his head while smiling.

“These rich people don’t know how to use their money. They are only paying something that they not even know what it is. If they want to buy, they must buy it.” Jimmy thought of what Jerry says.

“Does your fiancé know about this?” The old carpenter asked.

“I haven’t told her my plan. But, it seems to me that she would love it.” Jerry answered.

“Well, maybe, because both of you had the same status in life, so, both of you had the same righteousness as well.” Jimmy said.

“Could I go and look upstairs to see how good are your work, Jimmy?” Jerry asked.

“Sure! Let’s go.” Jimmy replied.

The stairs going up in the house hut is in front of the balcony. Jerry smiled while looking at the five-tiered bamboo staircase.

When Jerry put his foot as his first step on the stair, Jimmy reminded Jerry immediately.

“Take care of every step you make, your shoe might slit on the stairs.” Jimmy reminded Jerry.

When they reached the balcony, Jerry walked around before entering the mini house again. He was like a kid who had seen a bamboo made floor for the first time.

Inside the house, Jerry was happily enjoying the pleasure of his new house hut.

“Perfect! It really looks like a house in the province.” Jerry said excitedly.

He looked up. There’s no ceiling under the roof.

“I could put the flame light lamp over there right?” Jerry asked Jimmy and pointed above the roof.

“You mean that you will not use electricity?” Jimmy asked surprisingly.
