Culture is the act of multiplying a given bacteria in a culture plate. Culture is done to grow those microbes which are responsible for the disease in a large quantity using agar plates.

After sample collection,those samples are spreads out in the culture plates and stored for 24 hours under 37°C. This is to enable the micro organisms to multiply in large quantity before sensitivity test are being done. After the incubation, the culture plate are brought out from the refrigerator where it is being stored to enable the growth of micro organisms. At this point,the growth of micro organisms are accomplished. Using this culture plates sensitivity test can now be followed immediately.

Sensitivity antibody testing is the act of checking the drug that can cure a particular ailment. This is done by using a wafer of antibiotics to check for the right drugs.
A wafer of different antibiotics are placed on the culture plate in 3 or 4 different zone.

This drugs are placed on top of those grown micro organisms found on those culture plate.

After placing the antibiotics, the plates are incubated for 24 hour before checking for the cleared zone.

After 24 hours,the culture plates are brought out from the refrigerator to check for cleared zone in the culture plate. A portion found cleared in the culture plate indicates that the particular antibiotics placed on it can be use to treat that disease. But any zone that are not cleared simply means that the antibiotics cannot be use to cure that particular disease, reason being that the drug is resistance to that disease.
