I have a friend that uses Sprint layout software, which is similar to the Proteus you mentioned here, to design a printed circuit board. I wrote about it here.
Read that your awesome post about PCB design then. For ms, proteus performs the magic for me though I take a different path when making PCB for my projects though I don't dp solid state electronics again but I can still contribute immensely in the field. Thanks buddy. (edited)
