Deforestation is also the turning of forest land into productive land for agricultural uses. Which can result in better and more abundant production of food and materials, thereby eliminating periods of want and lack. Economically, deforestation has contributed much in giving many communities the opportunity to make positive changes in their lives. Although deforestation also leads to increased global warming, it is kind of a necessary evil.
If you take a peek at world's deforestation chart, agricultural activities have a significant input in deforestation. Instead of removing all the trees, farmers can practice taungya farming to curtail deforestation
taungya farming you say, how many of these farmers actually know what that means or what it entails? Do we even have a functioning forestry department in our country. With this, all farmers must be known and probably be registered with the government so they can go back check if they are honoring the pact.
