Thank you, @pixresteemer! 😊 📷
Great shot of 2 patient pups! Looks like Newmarket?
Thanks, Roger! Close - this was behind the Durham (on campus) laundromat. Much prefer it to the ones in Newmarket. 😊
LOL! I didn't hang around campus long enough to know where the laundry was!
And here I am, some ... cough, cough, thirty-five cough, cough... years later, still hanging out at the same place! Oh, and it's a few doors down from Youngs, if that helps you place it. 😊
I found it on Google Maps. It looks like a lot has changed since my time. I remember Scorpion's and Wildcat Pizza.
It really has. Do you remember the three ugly colored buildings at the top end of Main Street? They're gone (as well as some other buildings, including my own apartment above the travel agent/hairdressers) and have been replaced by a gazillion units of student housing. Total yuck. 😜
Oh wow! That's progress! I think I remember the travel agency. I don't remember too much of that area I was pretty sleepy when I was driving thru. I was working 2nd shift at the shipyard when I was going to school. If I had an 8 o'clock class... forget about it. Plus, I was only there for a year and a half.
Wowzers! I can see why you don't remember much! I made it through four years, but without a degree - too many gen-ed credits, not enough interest... LOL!
