I like the idea of a blacklist for authors and especially tags. But I don't see why the channel can't be open. As we have yet to see what posts are going to be supported by the guild I think there should be a little more effort on your part to listen to your (potential) customers/users.

Also I don't want to get emails everyday. The whole point of me using your service is so that I can forget about steemit for a few days. And therefore I don't want to have to come online everyday to check which post was guild voted. I would much prefer a list that was added to everyday, so that I can see 10 - 20 posts that the guild is voting for and then based on the choices within that list choose to opt-in.

Perhaps you could give 2 options, "opt-in" or "opt-out" and only after a MONTH, those who haven't chosen one or the other could be automatically opted in. That way we have a month to actually see a growing list of posts supported by the guild.
