Theater in Brooklyn
When I was over in Brooklyn recently I came across this old building which looks like at some stage it was a commercial building or factory and has been converted into a Theatre ( I know the spelling here is Theater but its one would that sticks int he head the English way) it would seem.
I thought it made an interesting shot with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background.
In the area of this theatre I noticed a few of old commercial buildings had been upgraded and converted into shopping centers and or apartment buildings, it made a cool rustic feel to the neighborhood and the place seemed quite charming i wish I could have had more time to explore it that morning but this was on my way back to catch the subway and get to the office and start my work day

Some of the best renovations to theatres have been from commercial buildings. The Alvin Ailey was a gritty little place that continually pumps out talent.

There are so many building like this in Detroit, sort of run down, rehabilitated and then run down again. So much effort to utilize and rescue these buildings, but the area is so down-trodden it's near impossible. @ironshield

It's amazing what gems you can find in any city when you get a chance to look around. Very cool to see both pieces of architecture in the same shot, especially with such a pretty sky as a background!

Cool shot! My eldest son did an internship down there with Mic Management the year they released John Mayer's "Born and Raised" album. He was may 21 then and had a very cool experience there. One of the grade schools I attended was turned into apartments. I thought it was a great idea compared to letting the building rot.
Yes I agree I hate seeing old buildings being left to run down and decay, so much better to see them reused
