Friday Wrap up
Although we usually discuss the individual trails where most of the human interaction is going on, there are several things about SteemTrail proper that you might think are worth taking a second look at.
Steem Trail has over one hundred subtrails. Many of these created quite recently and most of them very active. Starting SteemTrail must seem, to the admins, very much like building a Trading Post in the wilderness and watching a hundred families move in and create a city around you. Some of the SubTrails are ready to branch off new sub-subtrails.
Of course what this means is that some curators are handling more than one trail, but often not alone. Your humble reporter is in one group of six, a group of three (five, counting informal curators). and two groups of one. There are compensations for curating, but most are intangible. The main goal is to help other authors get the exposure they deserve. Finding a worthy post and shepherding it through the process of gaining the SteemTrail vote is a very satisfying thing. Then there is Trail Coin.
As a token of appreciation and reward, a new Cryptocoin was created for SteemTrail called TRAIL coin. As of now, the way to manage those are through an Open Ledger account which is free to set up. Since announcing the coin, Trading pairs have opened up, so now it has a real value instead of just a token value. It's not a lot (see below) but it's real and has a chance to develop. 363,994 coins have been issued since December 23rd 2016. You may know this coin because you have been mysteriously awarded a coin or two for a notable post. Check out the info-links at the bottom of this post to learn how to claim them, or to begin earning and trading them!

So what does that mean to you?
Perhaps the most important thing to take away from all this is that Steem Trail is an active community of folks who read and evaluate posts that you write. Who work to earn you greater rewards for your work, both tangible and intangible. You will get more eyes on your post, people will read and follow you because of the recommendation of a SteemTrail curator. Because of that you will earn more Steem. How much more? Obviously that depends, but SteemTrail, as a Streemian operator, brings 134 (and growing) followers who will vote on your post. Many of those are like me, people who go back and read the posts that their vote was proxied towards. Further, many people on Steemit, seeing the large number of votes on your post, will read it to see what's going on.
Activity around your post is a good thing. Activity from Steem Trail means that your post is not just popular, it's quality. It's been looked at by real human beings who decided it was a notch above the other posts in their stream. Then it was (probably) evaluated by other curators in the subTrail to get promoted to SteemTrail for the group vote. Then it was looked over by another pair of eyes to be selected from the growing number of nominations to receive that vote. If you were led here by a Trail coin, congratulations. You have excelled.
eSports-Trail was started by someone and then never used. Those who are familiar with this part of the SteemTrail Daily might notice that I try to feature trails which are of no interest to me. This is the main one. I'm one of those guys who uses the term "sportsball" as a derogatory dismissal. I know, I suck.
But you are not that guy. You don't suck. You know what the heck an eSports is. You have seen posts on it, you recognize a few names, you might even write a few posts yourself. Do this. Curate those posts here, build a community, gather your friends for eBeers and eHighfives. It could be a great thing. Ask about becoming a curator at SteemTrail

Have fun! Steemit is a great community. And your participation in the SteemTrail initiative will help to make it better and propel it to the next level.
Thank you for helping to make SteemTrail successful. Together, we’ll continue promoting participants and the Steemit community as a whole.
