    Wow, isn't that amazing? I had never heard of Lidar
    until now but that should open up the world of
    archeology like never before.

    this technology was developed some years ago to find more monuments in egypt and they were very successful with it. In Egypt, many structures were now waiting to be excavated. Now the technology is so far developed that it is used almost everywhere. not only for archeology but also for geology or to find new sources for resources or in military to find underground hiding places of terrorists and so on...
