Human Body Communication(HBC) As A Medium Of Transmission For Human Wireless Network (HWN)

Having read and enjoyed A peep into the weird world of plant's communication from @gentleshaid, I was then inspired, oh, ‘This is different from the way Artificial Neural Network was inspired by Human Biological Neurons’ which I discussed in my last post, I thereby deem it fit to discuss Human Body Communication (HBC) as a medium of transmission for Human Wireless Network (HWN).

Aside from long continuous thinking about if there is a kind of electrical conductor or electrical impulse, oh, sorry ‘electrical signal’ in my body during my childhood days, since I always get shocked each time I place a pot of water directly into already plugged hot plate or is it the electrical shock I used to get each time my hand touches naked wire, oh ‘you also used to perceive the same thing. Though it was not clear to me then, but I always had the thought that there is kind of conducting material inside my body which can be used well, if enough research and attention is given to it.

HUMAN BODY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Research has made it known that Human beings have two (2) distinct types of communication in their body systems. I.e. The nervous system and The Endocrine (hormone) system. Both have been confirmed to regulate body activities through both electrical signals and chemical which flow between cells. Although, the pathways for these communications are quite different from each other.

The Nervous System
I want to write a post, oh,’ am feeling sleepy, I can’t write now’, in fact, am just hungry, let me postpone it till tomorrow, all these actions and more are what nervous system does, in fact, it controls all the things since it is a house for the spinal cord and the main brain.

The nervous system usually communicates with the other parts of the body system by forwarding a message from the brain through the nerve cell that branch off one’s spine. Once a mind is intending to perform an action, such as move, it is converted by the main brain into both electrical impulses and neurochemicals. The electrical impulses and chemical through contractions of one’s skeletal muscles, which then result in the movement of one’s body.

How Does Neurons Communicate
This usually takes place by means of the so called ‘nerve impulse’. A nerve impulse is just the transmission of a signal from a given stimulus along the neuron’s membrane, by starting in the point where it was initially applied. The Nerve impulses can pass from one cell to another cell and thus creating a block-chain of information within a network of neurons.
Just like I said earlier on, electrical impulses and chemical are the two types in processing the nerve impulse. Electrical impulses propagate a signal within a neuron and chemical transmit the signal from one neuron to another neuron or even to a muscle cell.

Due to the interaction between neurons by the chemical process, an effector cells occur at the end of the axon, in a structure known as synapse, reaching so close against the another cell's dendrite, though it is without material continuity among both cells, axon releases chemical phenomenon known as neurotransmitters, this attract and attach themselves to chemical receptors in the membrane and later promote excitatory or inhibitory changes in its membrane.

Meanwhile, neurotransmitters help the nerve impulses of one cell to definitely influence the nerve impulses of another cell and thus allowing the brain cells to "talk to one and other", so to speak, of course, the human body developed a very large number of chemical messengers in order to deliberately facilitate internal communication and signal transmission within the human’s brain. In an ideal system, where everything is working normally, the internal communications take place without taking any notice of them.

The most vital point of the nervous system is that, it helps to coordinate and control body functions and enable the human’s body to respond to and act on the environment. The key process is ‘Synaptic transmission’ in the integrative action of the nervous system. To have a clear understanding of the basic operation of the nervous system, one must have a clear perspective of synaptic transmission.

The Endocrine (hormone) system

The branch of medicine which relates to the study of the endocrine system is known as ‘Endocrinology and is practiced by is called ‘Endocrinologists’. The field is one of the rapidly expanding due to the high demand understanding of the cellular pathways that hormones stimulate and the discovery of new hormones and their actions. Generally, The Endocrine system works along with the nervous system in order to help the body cope with different issues and stresses. Endocrine glands produce chemicals popularly known as hormones and pass them directly into the bloodstream. The hormones usually communicate directly with the body system by moving towards their target cell in order to bring about a particular change or effect to that cell.

Summary and Conclusion
The latest research has revealed that Human body communications (HBC) discussed above can be used as an enabling technology to bridge the latest increased demands for low power and high-simplicity in Wireless Body Area Networks for wearable-device applications.
For instance, Jean-Pierre Sauvage (Nobel Laureates), Bernard L. Feringa and Sir J. Fraser Stoddart were confirmed to have successfully developed ‘molecular nanobots’ that can be sent through blood vessels as well as ‘nanomaterials’ that can monitor vital organ health.
This current invention in technology which associate to a human body communication system and a communication device that communicate data by making use of a human body as a transmission medium and especially, human body communication system and a communication device which communicate data through an electric-field formed by the intervention of a human body.
For those with cancer disease, It is a matter of life or death and thus there is a highly need for tumors to be detected earlier than the advanced stage, and diverting research to this field will really improve the cure to the cancer and other deadly disease.
