interact , it's a very strange world ... neutrinos are virtually massless but they DO have mass, dark matter is hoped to have mass or it might never be detected (and it wouldnt be matter without mass), a foton has zero mass, unless it's moving, so it collides with certain surfaces , bounces back or gets slowed down and its trajectory altered (in water or glass or something)

i have learned quite a few bits so far but truly the more i see the less i know i know, i do understand why it would take a split personality to be a physicist now : its impossible to cram all that data in one single brain

They do. I had only said "that massive". Dark matter is expected to be much heavier than neutrinos. In the same way, a WIMP is much more massive than a neutrino. Does it clarify?

its so hot here my brain is melting out of my ears but i think i'm gonna give astrophysics in a hurry another run for the money, i wasnt quite focused last time, didnt get far past the planck era :)
