Your explanation of the peak oil theory is succinct and well detailed as well as its future undesirable on the lives of countries. And I think it is idiotic of man to not to think and prepare beforehand before such occurrence becomes the order of the day. The concept of alternative energy comes to mind. And even though nothing quite significant has been achieved in this regard, progress is being made and I do not doubt the ability of man to find viable solutions when pressed. This is the bane of invention and innovation. Man will always adjust and find a way to survive.
