Wow ... I haven't known that...
Simply saying, this type consists of password-protected web pages such as library databases, bank accounts, etc that are not reachable unless the user has the access key to these links. And this part has the largest portion of the web which consists of 96% of the internet
Which makes "open source" kind of irrelevant? Or I should say that my perception of what is free in the net shifted now and that most things are not free, as I already had assumed :)
