There might be several reasons why people didn't make any comment.
Perhaps not enough people saw the post, in the beginning its kind of hard to get noticed and receive comments, but if you remain active you will surely gain more followers and receive more interaction, especially if you write good posts.

I think you need to keep making posts and not let anything discourage you.
Its also important to leave good comments in other people's posts so you can little by little earn a following.
