Week 4 of Ice Cube's Big Three league will be underway on Friday evening in Detroit, Michigan at Little Caesar's Arena. Games of three-on-three will be played between former NBA stars and role players in a half-court setup with slightly altered rules compared to the NBA(i.e. a four-point shot, 14-second shot clock). If you have Fox Sports One in your cable package, then I'd definitely recommend tuning in on Friday night, 7/13 at 6 PM EST.
There are eight teams in the league and all of them get in on the action in a four-game slate. For Game 1 we get to see the 5th ranked "Killer 3's" take on no. 8 Trilogy. Game 2 will pit #6 "Ball Hogs" against the 4 seed "3's Company". The third game will be #1 "Tri-State" vs. #2 "3-Headed Monsters" and the final contest will be #3 "Power" versus #7 "Ghost Ballers".

The Killer 3's are my personal favorite cast of characters. They employ a squad that consists of Chauncey Billups, Stephen Jackson, Metta World Peace, Josh Powell, Alan Anderson, Ryan Hollins, and Mike James - all while being coached by the legendary NBA enforcer Charles Oakley! They're my favorite just based on their collection of personalities. They'll be going against the last-place team in "Trilogy" who are led by Kenyon Martin, Al Harrington, and Al Thornton. Trilogy haven't copped a win yet this season, but I think they'll have a good chance against the Killer 3's who only have a record of 1-2 themselves.
Our second game featuring "Ball Hogs" and "3's Company" is a battle between two middle-seeds who are trying to jump into the upper echelon. Ball Hog team captains Brian "White Mamba" Scalabrine and Josh Childress have an opportunity to bring their record to 2-2 with a win, while 3's Company can hop up to 3-1. 3's Company are led by Baron Davis and Drew Gooden. Andre Emmet is a great scorer for them too. He contributed 19 points last week in a win against Trilogy last week, so look for him to go in aggressive to the rim.

The third game of the night will feature the top-seeded Tri-State versus the second-ranked 3 Headed Monsters. Tri-State only went 3-5 last season, but are on a hell of a tear right now. The fans are set to get the matchup they deserve between the top two seeds of the league. Look for Nate Robinson, Amare Stoudemire, and Jermaine O'Neal to lead Trie-State against Reggie Evans, Jamario Moon and Rashard Lewis of 3 Headed Monsters. If I were a gambling man, I'd put my money on Tri-State to claim victory and solidify their top spot with a 4-0 record.
For our final game of the evening, we will see #3 Power face off against the lowly #7 Ghost Ballers. The Ghost Ballers have a nice team that features Mike Bibby, Carlos Boozer, and Ricky Davis, so I feel like their record should be more reflective of that. This could be an opportunity to prove some of the doubters wrong, as a victory against a Power squad which employs the likes of Cory Maggette, Cuttino Mobley, Glen Davis, and Quentin Richardson will be a tall task. Make sure to tune in to Friday's action!

I was a great fan of Mobley and Maggette when they played in LA with the Clippers and now I am supporting them to win the title. I think that they have a great team with Birdman.

Power is very strong! Magette had 37 last week. I hope the big three keeps recruiting bigger and bigger guys. Right now it doesn't feel too appealing in terms of a mass scale but if they get some big names it could generate a lot of hype!
