Trae Young Scores 23 as the Hawks Beat Pacers

Trae Young and Tyler Dorsey combined for 47 points to beat the Indiana Pacers, 107-101 in the first round of the Las Vegas Summer League playoffs on Wednesday night. Young finished the game with a total of 23 points, 8 assists and 2 steals proving that he is a legit future superstar that will dominate the league for years while Tyler Dorsey had 24 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Omari Spellman added 13 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Antonius Cleveland scored 8 points with 3 rebounds and 1 steal. Trae Young and Tyler Dorsey both shot 50 percent from the field.
The Indiana Pacers started the game strong and dominated the Atlanta Hawks by a 32-16 margin in the first period. The Hawks fight back in the second period and become more competitive but they still end up trailing 62-40 at the half. During the third quarter the Hawks cuts the deficit slowly until they made their great comeback at the final period and closing the game with a 35-16 gap in the fourth and final period.
Alex Poythress led the Indiana Pacers with his 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals shooting 58.8 percent from the field. Alize Johnson added a double-double of 12 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal while Travis Leslie and Edmond Sumner both scored 12 points. TJ Leaf finished the game with 9 points, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Aaron Holiday, brother of Jrue Holiday and Justin Holiday recorded 13 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. The Hawks now advanced to the second round of the Summer League playoffs to face the Portland Trail Blazers.
