Free agency is almost coming to an end and only few talents are left in the market. Rosters are starting to fill out around the league. Many teams already used much of their cap space. But there are few young players and veterans left that could add worth to a playoff team and here are the top quality free agents as of today.

Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade returned to the Miami Heat last season after a short stay in Cleveland where he played with close friend LeBron James. Seems like the broken relationship between Wade and Heat General Manager Pat Riley is now fixed and they’re both ready to move on from that issue. Wade is now 36 years old and his knees and is not what they used to be right now. His durability is also not the same as the past years but he showed in some games that he still can contribute well on both ends of the floor. Dion Waiters has taken his place in the starting lineup but at age 36 we wouldn’t be surprise if he plays off the bench now. And if the heat is planning to retain Wade, they must act now because there are reports that the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball League are looking to offer a “monster contract” to the future hall of famer. But in my own opinion, I think Wade still is the leader of Miami and it is not time for him to play overseas and the Miami Heat will ink a deal with him.

Carmelo Anthony was recently traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team deal including the Philadelphia 76ers. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Anthony is expected to be bought out of his contract by the Hawks and become a free agent. Despite having his worst year of his career, Melo has still much to offer to the game but it must be in a roster that is ready to compete for a championship. Anthony is still a deadly scorer in the post, in mid-range and from the outside. And when Paul Pierce was asked about who is the player for him that is the hardest to guard, his answer is none other than Carmelo Anthony. The Houston Rockets are the frontrunners in acquiring Anthony and they are very aggressive to get him into their roster. Anthony is now 34 years old and his window for a championship is now closing so he better choose a team that has the largest chance to compete with the Golden State Warriors. And we all know that the Rockets are a healthy Chris Paul away last season from a championship.

Clint Capela

Clint Capela recently declined a 5-year deal worth $85 million with the Houston Rockets because Capela believes that he is worth more than a hundred million dollars. It’s like the scenario between Nerlens Noel and the Dallas Mavericks last off-season. Dallas offered Noel a 4-year $70 million but he turned it down because he wanted a max. But later on, he was forced to re-up with the Mavericks for just $4.1 million contract. And this scenario might happen again with Clint Capela. Maybe there are teams that are interested in him but not willing to offer more than a hundred million and he may end up signing with the Rockets with a smaller contract and for a short tenure.
