The NFL Draft is next month and there is more anticipation for the Top 5 picks than ever before. Let’s take a look at each of the potential picks and look back at their college careers. Next we will dive into the career of the man from Los Angeles. Josh Rosen is a 6’4 and 218lb quarterback from UCLA. He is entering the draft after leaving school 1 year early.

Josh Rosen is considered to be the most natural QB in this year’s NFL Draft. He has the best mechanics and is the least risky of the Top 5 potential picks in my opinion. Rosen had a very good career at UCLA. His freshman year was impressive to say the least. Rosen played in all 13 games and completed 60% of his passes for 3,669 yards and 23 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions. That was good for a Quarterback Rating of 134.3. He quickly gained National attention from the media and NFL scouts.

The sophomore year for Josh Rosen did not go as planned. He was injured over half of the season and only appeared in 6 games. He completed 59% of his passes and had 10 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. It was disappointing to miss so many games but that is just was happens in such a physically violent game like football. Rosen did come back healthy for his junior year. Rosen was one of the preseason favorites to be a top pick in the NFL Draft and although the injury bug struck him again for a couple games, he was back to putting up great stats. Rosen would have career high numbers in his final season at UCLA. He completed 62.6% of his passes for 3,756 yards and 26 touchdowns with only 10 interceptions. He had a Quarterback Rating of 147.
Josh Rosen should be the #1 overall pick in my opinion. He is the best quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft and is much less of a wildcard than Darnold, Allen or Mayfield. But where he lands, no one yet knows.

wow this is awesome

I agree that Rosen is the least risky of the top QB prospects in this year's stacked draft. He's got great mechanics and seems to be able to make all of the throws. I know he was a little banged up this year like you said and that affected how good UCLA was overall, but 6-7 was pretty disappointing this year. I know they had a terrible defense, I would have liked to have seen him win a few more games while with the Bruins. Hopefully he can stay healthy at the next level, that could be the biggest "if" about him. Good assessment.
