French Ligue 1 side Paris St-Germain have appointed former Borussia Dortmund manager, Thomas Tuchel as Unai Emery’s replacement.
Thomas Tuchel who took over at Borussia Dortmund following the departure of Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp in 2015, has been out of a job for about a year, since leaving the Dortmund side in May 2017.
By taking over at the French side, he replaces Unai Emery who did not have his two year contract renewed despite leading the Paris-based club to a domestic treble in France.

Tuchel who is 44 years old has described his joining the French side as a great joy, pride and ambition. He signed a two year contract with the side, and would be hoping to do much better with the side, than the outgoing Unai Emery.
Conquering Europe would be the main priority of the Paris-based side, and Tuchel believes that with the great players at his disposal, along with the staff of the club and every available resource, PSG would be able to forward to their highest international level and possibly exceed their limits.
According to Tuchel; he is hoping to discover the intricacies of the Parc des Princes which is considered one of Europe's legendary football stadiums with an incredible atmosphere. Tuchel also says he is most excited with the challenge of leading PSG; as there's an extraordinary potential in Paris St-Germain.

President of Paris St-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi believes that Thomas Tuchel is one of the most competitive coaches in Europe and he has emerged as a top level coach in recent years.
Al-Khelaifi also supports Tuchel’s ambitious personality, forward-style of playing and a tough strength of character, which he believes are synonymous with what is obtainable at PSG.
Thomas Tuchel won the German Cup during his time at Borussia Dortmund. Time would tell however if Thomas Tuchel is the man to take Paris St-Germain to the next level, especially on the European continent where they have struggled to assert themselves, despite massive investment in top quality players in recent years.
