The NFL Draft is next month and there is more anticipation for the Top 5 picks than ever before. Let’s take a look at each of the potential picks and look back at their college careers. Next we will dive into the best running back in the draft. Saquon Barkley is a junior at Penn State and may be the best running back to enter the NFL Draft in YEARS.

Barkley was an extremely high recruit coming out of high school. When the Penn State Nittany Lions landed him, their fan base rejoiced and the Big Ten got very nervous. He burst onto the scene with a great freshman year. He would run for over 1,000 yards and would get into the end zone 8 times. Those are definitely impressive numbers in the Big 10 which has some of the best defensive lines in the country.
His sophomore year would be even better. Barkley ran for nearly 1,500 yards and scored 18 touchdowns on the ground. He would also catch 4 touchdown passes. His yards per carry average was 5.5 yards and his yards per receptions were an outstanding 14.4 yards.

The hype was through the roof for Saquon Barkley as he entered his junior year. Everyone knew that this would be his last season in a Penn State uniform and he did not disappoint. Barkey again ran for 18 touchdowns and he improved his yards per carry to 5.9 yards per attempt. And even more impressively, Barkley would catch a career high 54 passes out of the back field. That is a skill that got NFL teams drooling at the possibility of adding him to their team. He would finish will nearly 2,000 yards from scrimmage in his junior year.
At the NFL Combine 2 weeks ago, Barkley was the most impressive physical specimen in the building. Every aspect of his game looked incredible. He will absolutely be a Top 5 pick in the draft. And the Cleveland Browns would be fools to pass on him twice.

This man is a superb athlete.I am sure Barkley will improve his game day by day.Thank's for the post.

Nice preview - Barkley is the best talent in this draft IMO as well. I agree 100% that the Browns would be fools to pass on him. I actually think they should take him # 1 overall. I know the Quarterback position obviously is important, but I think the Giants are sitting at # 2 waiting and hoping they can snag Barkley. The Browns already brought in Tyrod Taylor, I would get Barkley and then take one of the big 4 QB prospects with that # 4 pick. It will be interesting to see where he ends up - I think he'll be a 1000 yard rusher right away as a Rookie.
