It feels like eons since we've seen the welterweight staple in Amir Khan fight for his fans, and his dual nations in the UK and Pakistan. A massive fan favorite, the show sold out in the first week, and Khan is making an awaited debut that may lead to much bigger things.

Phil Lo Greco is an established fighter known most notably for his loss to Errol Spence, but that fight was taken on short notice, and Phil is a hard nosed Canadian looking for the biggest win of his career. It has been almost 2 years since Canelo floored Khan with a brutal right hand...

...and although Khan says he probably should not have accepted that fight, it actually makes his return all the more special. It has been a long time since Amir has fought in the UK, and the hometown advantage along with the change to camp Goosen should show up fight night.
Khan along with Lo Greco weighed in today, and both look sharp to the tac. Amir looks healthy, hydrated, and motivated to relclaim a stake at the title... and the big fights in his division. I look forward to seeing if Amir's speed has remianed the same through his hand operation.

Hand speed is what has made Khan one of the most dangerous fighters in the welterweight division, and he is still one of the only men to drop Marcos Maidana... and he did it with a blinding body shot. Khan is a tremendous boxer, it's just been his durability that's questionable.
Phil Lo Greco is a stern test for anyone, but Khan's elite skills should carry him through one pretty easily... but only if he is the fighter he once was. Look for blinding combinations and beautiful footwork when Amir steps in the ringed circle behind the ropes... we're only seconds out!

Wow what a return it was for Khan last night indeed - a 39-second demolition of Lo Greco. While it was a very strategic and wise selection for Khan's team to peg Lo Greco as his comeback bout, I don't think anyone expected a complete demolition in less than a minute. I mean Spence destroyed this same guy a few years back, in 2015, but it took him 3 rounds to do it. Def a big comeback for Khan. Would love to see him and Spence go it at. Would be nice if they could make the Kell Brook fight finally happen first though.

Absolutely! You know your boxing!

Thank you! So do you! Appreciate the boxing coverage! Keep it coming!

OH yeah Khan, love you <3

Great fighter, solid post!
