The Major League's best team is back in action tonight in Oakland

The Boston Red Sox and the Oakland A’s face off in American League action on Saturday night. The first pitch will be at 8:05pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on Comcast Sports California as well as the North East Sports Network. It will take place at the Oakland-Alameda in Oakland, California. The Red Sox are big favorites at -160 and the over/under is 7.5 runs.
It has been a phenomenal start to the season for the Boston Red Sox. They have the best record in baseball and are enjoying one of the best starts to any season ever. They already have a huge 7 game lead over their bitter rival New York Yankees. They are 1st in the MLB in the following categories:
Batting Average .293
On Base % .361
Runs 123
Slugging % .497
Plus, they have their ace on the mound tonight. Chris Sale has an ERA of only 1.23 and a WHIP of .95. It could be a long night for the Oakland bats.
The Oakland A’s are 9-11 so far on the season. They are sending a great pitcher to the mound as well in Sean Manaea. He has an ERA of 1.63 and one of the best WHIP’s in the MLB at .72. But he needs run support to get the win and that is something that has been hard to come by so far this season. The A’s have good offensive stats but they just have not had the timely hitting to get Manaea the runs he has needed. The are actually 2nd in the MLB behind the Red Sox in batting average and are hoping that they can get to Chris Sale early and often.
Tonight features two dynamite pitchers but also two strong offenses. It will be a battle of strength vs strength for each team. Can the A’s pull off the upset? We will have to wait and see.
