The Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns will do battle tonight in Arizona in a must win match-up for the purple and gold. Tip off set for 8pm Central Standard Time and the game can be seen on National Television on the NBA Season Pass on Direct TV or locally on Fox Sports Arizona. It will take place at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Lakers are road favorites at -7 and the over/under is 235 points. It will be the second game of a back to back for the Lakers while the home team Suns are on the second night of a back to back as well.
It is officially a must win scenario for Lebron James and company. They suffered a devastating loss last night to the Milwaukee Bucks and are now 3.5 games out of the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with only 21 games left in the season. The 131-120 loss really put the team behind the eight ball and there is little room for error.
Lebron James and Brandon Ingram played pretty good last night but it came down to a few costly turnovers in the 4th quarter that would be the difference. The Lakers actually had the lead pretty late in the game but just couldn't hold on to the ball and execute down the stretch.
There is not a whole hell of a lot to play for tonight if you are the Phoenix Suns. They have been in the basement of the NBA all season and are simply hoping to get the #1 overall pick in the upcoming NBA Draft this summer. They do have some very strong and young talent in DeAndre Ayton and Devin Booker. If they could add Zion Williamson from the Duke Blue Devils via the draft, that would be one hell of a trio moving forward.
I don't see any scenario tonight that includes the Lakers losing this game. They should be in beast mode and put a whooping on the Suns. Thank you for following @steemsports and you can find me @npl77
