"The Flying Dutchman" - Robin Van Persie Achieves His 300th Career Goal

Ex-Premier League Star, and Former Arsenal and Manchester United Striker, Robin van Persie has achieved a career landmark by scoring his 300th career goal.
The 34-year old Dutch forward reach the goal tally on Wednesday for his present club Feyenoord, a club he began his career with and whom he re-joined on January 14th, 2018, after leaving them to join English side, Arsenal, 14 years ago.
Van Persie’s 300th goal came in a victory for Feyenoord as they beat Willem II 3 – 0, last Wednesday to reach the final of the Dutch KNVB Cup.
Robin Van Persie made his senior footballing career debut with Feyenoord during the 2001-2002 season, when he was just 17-year-old. After a career that saw him win the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Cup, and also reach the World Cup final with the Netherlands, the 34-year old is currently back with his hometown club, Feyenoord, as he gradually begins to wind down on an amazing career.
A career that has seen him become Netherlands’ record top-scorer with 50 goals, also saw him win the Premier League’s Golden Boot award twice.
One of Van Persie’s most notable international achievement would be captaining the Netherlands in the 2014 World Cup held in Brazil, where he most notably scored twice against defending champions, Spain, including a remarkable “flying header” that was eventually nominated for the FIFA Puskás Award of the most beautiful goal of the year under review.
The against Spain in the 2014 World Cup was a superb goal which came courtesy of a diving header, and thereafter earned Van Persie the nickname of "The Flying Dutchman".
