The afternoon games in the NFL just ended and there was a mix of blowouts and one close battle. The highest scoring day of the occurred in surprising fashion. Let’s breakdown all of the action.

New England Patriots 33-8 Won over the Oakland Raiders. The game took place in Mexico and Tom Brady and company were ready to play. The Oakland Raiders though were not. Brady went 30-37 for 339 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Pats took a 30-0 lead before the Raiders finally got into the end zone. Derrick Carr didn’t play bad but he suffered from tons of dropped passes from his wide receivers and running backs.

Los Angeles Chargers 54-24 Won over the Buffalo Bills. The biggest story out of this game was the Bills decision to bench quarterback Tyrod Tayler for Nathan Peterman. The rookie QB would toss 5 interceptions in the first half before being benched. All of the turnovers in the first half made for easy work for Phillip Rivers and his Charger teammates.

Cincinnati Bengals 20-17 Won over the Denver Broncos. Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton had his best game of the year tossing 3 touchdowns and zero interceptions. It was one of the lowest scoring games of the day but kept the slight Wild Card hopes alive for the Bengals.
