NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 Preview: Loyola Chicago vs Nevada

The #7 Nevada Wolf Pack and the #11 Loyola Chicago Ramblers get the second week of the 2018 NCAA Tournament started on Thursday night when they face off. The game will tip off at 6:07pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on CBS. It will take place at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Nevada is a 1 point favorite and the over/under is 144 points.

Nevada is coming off of one of the most impressive NCAA Tournament wins in the history of the tournament. They found themselves down by 22 points to the heavily favored Cincinnati Bearcats before they went on a historic comeback. The Martin twins would lead the charge and they pulled to a tie score with under 20 seconds left in regulation. Then as the clock wore down, Josh Hall would hit an 8 foot jumper to take the 75-73 lead which would wind up as the final score. That would be the Wolf Pack’s first and only lead in the game.

The Loyola Chicago Ramblers also had a game winning jumper go in last weekend. They were playing the Tennessee Volunteers and were winning most of the closing minutes until they seemed to have choked away their lead. Tennessee took a 62-61 lead with 20 seconds left and then the magic happened. Ramblers guard and big shot taker Clayton Custer drove towards the right side of the free throw line and hit a fade away 13 foot jumper to give his team the 63-62 win and advance to the Sweet 16.
Both of these teams have gotten the attention of the country. Everyone loves a Cinderella story and the winner of this game will have their shot at the Final 4. It is going to be one hell of a game and the world will be watching.
