It is an NBA Friday and there is a full slate of action in the NBA! After a long All Star Break, there will 6 games last night including Lebron James and the Cavs losing at home to the Washington Wizards who didn’t even have the services of John Wall in their back court. Lebron and Co. are back tonight when they play at a really bad Memphis Grizzly squad but that is not the game of the night. The Game of the Night in the NBA is the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Houston Rockets.

Both teams have enjoyed a four night break and should be ready to get the rest of their regular season going. The game tips off at 7pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on ESPN. It will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The Rockets are favored by 8.5 points and the over/under sits at 225.

The Houston Rockets have won 10 straight games. They are playing incredible and guard James Harden is at the top of the list for potential MVP winners. Harden’s 31.3 points per game is the best in the league and he is also averaging 9 assists per game. Chris Paul has been a dynamite addition and is averaging 19.2 points and 8.3 assists. Eric Gordon is third on the team in scoring at 18.5 per game.

The Minnesota Timberwolves Big 3 is having a hell of a season. They are in first place in the Northwest Division and will be a force to deal with come playoff time. Jimmy Butler is leading a balanced attack with 22.4 points per game. Karl Anthony Towns is averaging 20.2 points and Andrew Wiggins is averaging 17.5. The Timberwolves have 6 players averaging in double figures. Head coach Tom Thibodeau is one of the best defensive coaches in the NBA and he also has he team in first place in turnovers.

If the playoffs started today, the Rockets would have the #1 seed and the Timberwolves would have the #4 seed. With about 23 games left in the regular season there is still plenty of time for movement but it is safe to say that these two teams have the potential to win the 2018 NBA Championship.

Basket ball is a very interesting game

CP3 is playing out of his mind this year. Wasn’t expecting him to play like this. Houston beat em up the last time they played early in Feb. Won by 18 at Minnesota. Although you never know how teams are gonna play out of the break.
One thing to look at tonight, is the minutes distribution for Houston if the game is relatively close. They were already deep and are getting Trevor Ariza and Eric Gordon back from injuries. Plus they signed “Iso” Joe Johnson and Brandan Wright off the buyout heap. Lots of bodies and only so many minutes to go around.
