The Boston Red Sox and L.A. Angels played in their third consecutive game in a three game series, and the Red Sox completed the sweep. Meanwhile, with the victory, Boston elongated their winning streak to 7 consecutive, and they continue to boast the best record in the MLB, only dropping two out of 18 games. Scoring 9 runs in the first matchup, 8 in the second, and now 10 in the third, the Red Sox held the Angels to only let three runs cross the plate.

Eduardo has now successfully won in the three games he has taken the mound, which has placed him in a tie for second place in wins earned in the MLB. Rodriguez only trails his teammate, Rick Porcello, by one game.

Nick Tropeno equalized his record at 1 with a defeat against Boston’s bats. He gave up 5 runs, one of which went out of the ball park, 7 hits, struck out a trio of batters, and threw 5.1 innings before his duty was passed on to the pen’.

Chris Young was the loner on the Angels to knock one out of the park. The phenomenal pitcher and hitter, Shohei Ohtani, came up short on the batting end, striking out three of the four times he went to the plate. L.A. will start a new series against their inter league rivals, the San Francisco Giants today. Boston will begin a series against the Oakland Athletics, in Oakland.
