The former middleweight champion in Michael Bisping makes the quickest turnaround of his fighting career to make an appearance in this China main event. He faces the streaking contender Kelvin Gastellum in an event that should be pure fireworks. This one will most likely end before the final cards, but it is a matchup that perplexes even the most sturdy of fight fans.
Gastellum is the former welterweight contender making a name for himself in the now middleweight division. His tumultuous weight cuts forced him into a higher weight class where he has looked both incredible, and under sized all in one. A tough loss to Chris Weidman exposed the size differential between Kelvin, and the top five at 185 pounds.

Kelvin had never been finished before 'The All American' Weidman had submitted him, but Gastellum not only dropped Weidman...he hurt him very badly and nearly finished the former middleweight champion. Kelvin is in a purgatory of sorts as he can't seem to make 170 pounds at all, but he can't seem to match the size and overall power of the elite at middleweight.
A win over Bisping would help Kelvin propel himself back into holdings of the division's elite. Kelvin wants to be champion at 170, so for now he must plod through the middle-grounds of 185 pounds and hopefully find the right diet to keep himself in shape, and in tune. Bisping is a solid test for the young man, and although Michael was finished not too long ago, he is still an endurance athlete and can put on a hell of a fight for 25 minutes.

I honestly have no idea how this one will play out. I do know that Kelvin will surely win by finish if he does claim victory, and Bisping will claim a decision if it gets there. Can Bisping survive the devastating right hand and deceptive kicks of the young lion...or will Kelvin have to deal with a gritty veteran for 25 minutes unable to find his pacing or speed? It is a main event of questions, we will find the answers next Saturday night!

I never got into this stuff. It seems ridiculous to me. However, if someone wants to watch it, it's not up to me.

Many sports may seem ridiculous to others, but MMA is one of the largest growing sports in the world right now, gaining in strength everyday. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but may I ask you what you find so ridiculous?

I just never got into a 'sport' where people just try to kick the crap out of each other, on purpose. Yes that means I don't like boxing or wrestling either (at least not the wrestling they have on TV that also seems so popular). Like I said though, if others like it, so be it. It will just never be me.

Fair enough, but there are huge elements of skill involved as these men and women have to be experts in multiple disciplines. I'm certainly not a fan of uncontrolled violence, but I feel that MMA is well sanctioned, with enough rules in place to keep the fighters relatively safe. Personally I have never been a fan of horse racing myself, or any of the underground illegal animal fights. In Thailand they breed cockerels/roosters to fight, I haven't seen it in person, but have seen footage and it looks barbaric!

i love this kind oe post and game

Arrogant Bisping got what he deserved by St Pierre and got knocked out.Now again he will be punished.

He didn't get knocked out, he got choked unconscious in the third round :)
