Barclay's Center Hosts a Magnificent 154 Pound Matchup This Saturday!

Jermell 'Iron Man' Charlo:

The younger brother of the welter and super middleweight duo protects his WBC world title. The Charlo brothers have both become quite the fan favorites. With both being undefeated at a combined 44-0, we see bright things for these Lions in the future. The 154 pound division is flooded with sharks like Canelo and possible champions from lower weight classes (Crawford, Thurman, Spence), Jermell must step up i this performance to prove his is a rightful champion. It is known that Jermell is the less polished and technical of the two brothers, but he possesses that clean power and great movement like Jermall, and at this phase of his career that is really all he needs.

Erickson 'The Hammer' Lubin:

The upcoming opponent and B-side to this champions main event is actually a blue chip prospect, and a somewhat astounding 18-0. Lubin has snuck up the ranks and made his power know with a 72% knockout rate, and the gas tank to back it up. This is a strong 22 year old kid making a name for himself, and in 18 fights he has shown solid power and durability, along with the ability to seamlessly go for 12 rounds. This is going to be no walk in the park for Jermell, Lubin does have great head movement and ring generalship, if The Hammer can find the center of the ring and control it, we may have a real upset on our hands.

Breakdown and Matchup:

I am personally a fan of the Charlo brotherhood, they are quite the dynamic duo inside and outside of the ring. I believe that Jermall will be future king of the middleweight division, and I believe his size and power can make him a threat at weight classes beyong. Jermell has has quite the acumen thus far, and he has even sparred with the best 154ers in the world consistently (such as Erislandy Lara). I believe that Jermell needs to tune up his ring generalship, and be unafraid to let his hands go while cutting off the ring like his brother does so well. I still believe in this young lion to attain the victory, but Lubin is no spring chicken although he is young. Prepare for a war, and possible fight of the year with this one!
