Kyle Korver Helps LeBron and the Cavs Even the Series at 2-2

LeBron and the Cavs did not lose their composure as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Indiana Pacers, 104-100 on Sunday night to even their Eastern Conference playoff matchup to 2 games apiece. LeBron James finished the game with 32 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 blocks while Kyle Korver had 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks. Korver made four three-pointers. Kevin Love had a bad shooting night recording only 5 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. He made only 2 of his 10 shots and did not make a single three-pointer. JR Smith hits four three-pointers and finished the game with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Jordan Clarkson finally had a great game collecting 12 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Larry Nance Jr. added 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and a block while Jeff Green had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. It was the first time that the Cavaliers won in Indianapolis this season. Cleveland outscored Indiana 17-7 on fast-break points. The Cavs shot 12 for 24 on three point territory. Kyle Korver now made 200 3s in his playoffs career and LeBron James recorded his 100th career playoff game with 30 or more points.



Domantas Sabonis scored 19 points with 6 rebounds for the Indiana Pacers. Pacers’ all-star guard shot only 5 of 12 and finished the game with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks. Myles Turner also had 17 points with 3 rebounds and 1 steal while Thaddeus Young had 12 points, 16 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Meanwhile, Lance Stephenson added 11 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. Bojan Bogdanovic shot only 4 of 13 and 2 of 8 from three-point distance and finished the game with only 10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

The Cavs appeared to run away with the win when they took a 49-33 lead with six minutes remaining in the first half but the Pacers closed the first half on a 10-2 run to cut the deficit 60-50 and then opened the second half with another 10-2 run to make it 62-60. Cleveland fought back and took a 76-68 lead with more than four minutes remaining in the third period, but the Pacers scored the final six points of that quarter. Lance Stephenson open the fourth quarter with his jumper and tied the game, then Sabonis’ three-pointer gave Indiana the lead with more than ten minutes left. Indiana led 93-91 with four and a half minutes left in the game but managed to score only four baskets the rest of the way as James and Korver led a 10-2 run that gave the Cavs a 101-95 lead with two minutes left. Jeff Green sealed the win with his two free throws.
