The club which took the footballing world by storm this summer. The club which broke the records of paying the highest transfer fees for a footballer on this planet. The club that managed to get hold of arguably, the world’s best young talent. The club that has managed to win the bragging rights for this transfer window. Paris St. Germain.

The French outfit has had the most success this time around with respect to recruiting world class players. PSG has managed to get hold of Neymar Jr., Kylian Mbappe and Dani Alves to name a few. But it has the acquisition of Neymar that has turned the attention towards the French champions.

The Arrivals

The ex-Barcelona player,Neymar, was purchased by them for a world record fee of €222 million which stunned the world. Meanwhile, PSG also secured the services of the 18 year old AS Monaco striker, Mbappe for a season long loan. They also strengthened their Brazilian contingent by acquiring Dani Alves for the right back position as a free transfer from Juventus.

Neymar surely does not need any introduction with the Brazilian tipped by pundits all over the world to win the Ballon D’Or, the highest individual honor in football in the future. Playing at left wing, the Brazilian hot shot needs someone pacey up front to slot in the goals and Mbappe has been brought in to do so. The teenager is brimming with talent and ability and can only improve from here onwards. PSG have also brought in Yuri Berchiche from Real Sociedad for £14.4 million as a potential starter in the team as the left back.

The Exits

Amongst the major exits from the club, powerful right back, Serge Aurier is one. The Cote d’Ivoire international made the switch to Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £22.5 million. Juventus managed to get their hands on one of PSG’s want away midfielders, Blaise Matuidi for a price as low as £18 million in this inflated market.

Having sent a host of players out on loan, PSG had to bring in the best of the best to the club such that the starting eleven will be able to compete with the European elite in the Champions League as well as domestically. The acquisition of Neymar and Mbappe adds strength to their attack and there is no doubt any opposition will be scared at the prospect of facing a striker force as that of Paris St. Germain’s.

Matuidi for 18mil??? But Chelsea just payed 35 mil for Drinkwater... This football world is crazy! I think PSG will make semi finals of the Champion's League, but they have it too easy in France, no real competition leads to complacency.
