Jaylen Brown led the Celtics finishing the game with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals while rookie Jayson Tatum had 21 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Marcus Morris shot only 4 of 14 and recorded 13 points and 4 rebounds. Terry Rozier also had a bad shooting night with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. He made only 3 of his 12 shots and 2 of his 10 from the three point line. All-star center Al Horford had 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks.
It was a disappointing end for the Celtics as they rallied from a 65-45 deficit with seven and a half minutes left in the third. They limited the Bucks’ transition game. Tatum’s jumper with 52 seconds remaining gave the Celtics a 100-99 lead, but he couldn’t hold off Giannis Antetokounmpo’s tip in to take the lead after a missed layup by Malcolm Brogdon with 5 seconds left in the game. Marcus Morris missed a contested 14-footer at the buzzer and the Bucks took the win. Game 5 is on Tuesday night in Boston.
