AS Monaco recorded the biggest win of the game week. They thrashed Olympique Marseille 6-1 in front of home fans at the Stade Louis II Stadium in Monaco. A double from the forward Radamel Falcao and one a piece from Kamil Glik, Adama Diakhaby,Djibril Sibide and Fabinho were enough to seal all 3-points for Monaco, making Remy Cabella’s goal just a mere consolation. Monaco currently sits second on the Ligue 1 table, just behind PSG on goal difference. These two are going to battle it this time around for the French title.

Paris Saint-Germain won their home game 3-0 against Saint-Etienne, and for the first time since making his debut, record signing Neymar had no major contribution, neither goals nor assist to his name. But in the absence of an output Neymar, Edinson Cavani stepped up and scored two goals. The first was a well taken penalty and the second was a goal assisted by Thomas Meunier. Thiago Motta grabbed the third. OGC Nice lost once again. They are beginning to look like a shadow of the team that finished third place last season. They are currently 17th on the league table. Nice coach Lucien Favre will be hoping for a turnaround soon from his boys and I hope they deliver.
