The New Orleans Pelicans traveled north to face the Eastern Conference best Boston Celtics on Tuesday night where the Celtics put their seven game win streak on the line.
The Pelicans came out of the gates with a purpose building a seven point lead before the end of the quarter, largely due to Anthony Davis who scored 17 points in the first frame. Once again the Celtics offered little resistance to Davis’s attack as the Pelicans stormed into the locker room with a 58-48 lead. as the Celtics cut their deficit from ten to seven to end the third quarter. Davis added another 12 points in the third quarter bringing his total to 37 for the game.

The fourth quarter started off with the Celtics roaring back to take a 95-91 lead midway through the quarter after a 15-1 run. The Pelicans responded with a 7-0 run of their own to regain the lead by three. With the Pelicans leading by two with 20 seconds left, the Celtics looked to their star point guard, Kyrie Irving who delivered on an isolation play, blowing by Davis for an easy layup to tie the game at 104 sending the game to an additional frame.

In overtime, the Celtics built a three point lead with two minutes left. After a made hook shot by DeMarcus Cousins to bring the Pelicans within one, Jrue Holiday hit two mid-range jump shot on consecutive plays to giving New Orleans a three point lead, capping off a 6-0 run to end the game and seal the victory 116-113 over the home team.
Davis had his second consecutive 40+ point performance finishing game-high 45 points and 16 rebounds. Holiday added 23 points along with Cousins’ 19 points and 15 rebounds for New Orleans. Irving led Boston, who had six players in double-digits, with 27 points in the loss.

I wonder if Davis is headed to the Cavs?

Would be awesome!!

Might make things a bit more competitive if the Cavs make it to the finals (which looks doubtful right now).

a good basketball game, the picture was detailed.
