Cleveland Cavaliers’ Tanking Starts!

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the worst team in the league right now. They Started the season 0-6 before they beat the Atlanta Hawks. The Cavs seemed to be not in the right direction and couldn’t compete even in the Weak Eastern Conference and even they retained all-star forward Kevin Love. I think it’s all about LeBron. When LeBron is in Cleveland the team is tend to contend for a championship and after he left the Cavs becomes the worst team in the league. It’s just one player but his value is being felt by the team big time.

For Love, it’s a process of getting the young guys develop their game. He re-signed with the Cavs because he thinks the Cavs won’t tank and still be competitive. But it’s a big mistake for Love. The Cavs are slowly showing signs that they will be tanking again until yet another superstar joins them. They will now make a run for a high draft pick. The Cavs won’t make it to the playoffs for sure and there’s a possibility that they would trade Kevin Love for some first round draft picks.

After an 0-6 start this season, Cleveland’s front office decided to fire their champion coach Ty Lue. The decision is not all about the bad start. Lue and the front office could not agree with each other in terms of distributing minutes for players. That’s the main reason for the firing. The front office wants to give more minutes to the young guys. Cavs’ players were very emotional after the management fired Lue. They love Lue and many players reacted on the news. Even LeBron James send his heartfelt message for Ty Lue. They bring a championship together in Cleveland and had a good relationship.

After firing Coach Lue, the Cavs made another move. The front office told JR Smith and Kyle Korver that they’d no longer be part of the rotation to open up some minutes for the young guys like Collin Sexton, Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson. JR and Kyle were very emotional to hear this. It’s very frustrating for their parts because they just play in the finals last season and then this? It’s crazy. It’s a big sign that the Cavs will now start tanking.
