The 7th match day of the Bundesliga has just finished.

The round was opened on Friday by the local derby between Schalke 04 and Bayer Leverkusen. It was a 1-1 draw, where the home side slightly dominated. After several missed chances, in the 34th minute, Leon Goretzka scored a superb goal from a free kick where the ball passed both the defensive wall and Leverkusen’s goalie.

After the break, chances have been on Schalke’s side but the ones who scored have been Leverkusen with the newly introduced Leon Bailey in the 64th minute. It was also Bailey’s first goal this season. Following the equalizer, Leverkusen pushed for the win, but the game ended undecided.

On Saturday we had 5 encounters, one of the most thrilling was the match between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hannover 96. Hannover 96 was coming for points as the season started very well for them, being at place 4 without any game lost and only two goals conceived. Gladbach started the game offensively and only after 8 minutes they could see why Hannovers sheet was so clean. The first goal arrived in the 67th minute for Gladbach and it was scored by a weak shot by Matthias Ginter. Equalizer followed only after 4 minutes with a header from Martin Harnik after the corner. The winning goal was scored in the 94th minute by Thorgan Hazard, breaking Hannover’s streak without loses.

Last minute win for Mönchengladbach

Mainz05 visited VFL Wolfsburg. After 8 away games without any win, the team from Mainz aimed for breaking that streak. Also, Wolfsburg wanted to have their first win in 5 home games. The first period was played rather cautiously, without goals. The game got revitalized after the break with the score opener header by Joshua Guilavogui in the 55th minute. Mainz didn't want to lose the game so the equalizer came after another header in the 74th minute by Yoshinori Muto. No more goals have been scored despite the sent off for the second yellow card for Ntep

FC Augsburg received the leader, Borussia Dortmund at home. Dortmund stood to the reputation and table position and scored in the 4th minute with a backheel from Andrey Yarmolenko, which scored also his first Bundesliga goal. Caiuby did fast the equalizer for Augsburg in the 11th minute. Shinji Kagawa scored than for the lead of Dortmund, becoming also the Japanese national with the most goals scored in Bundesliga, 38 to date. Dortmund’s star player Aubameyang unluckily missed several shots and a penalty kick. It was his 200th game for Borussia.
Picking up the 3 points, Dortmund maintains the first place.

The game between Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart started with both teams in defence. That changed after Frankfurt scored in the 42nd minute by Ante Rebić's goal. After the break, Stuttgart seemed more determined and managed the equalizer in the 61st minute with a header from Simon Terodde. The most boring game came from Hamburg, where the local team HSV encountered Werder Bremen in the bottom table derby. There have been few chances in this clash and the result was drawn to zero.

Hamburger SV 0:0(0:0) Werder Bremen

Sunday started with probably one of the best games of the round. Hoffenheim visited Freiburg. Freiburg till this game didn't have any win in the actual season and Hoffenheim was coming from a disappointing loss in Europe League in Bulgaria.
Hoffenheim started strong and scored in the 14th minute by the debutant Robin Hack. This was only the trigger for Freiburg which scored one minute later by Florian Niederlechner. Freiburg took the lead by Caglar Söyüncü's header in the 18th minute.

The game was turned for Freiburg in just 4 minutes.

The game was played on counters but no goals have been scored till the 87th minute when Pascal Stenzel made it 3:1 for Freiburg. Hoffenheim couldn't accept this and they finally scored in the 90th minute. Philipp Ochs had a tremendous chance for an equalizer in the 93rd minute but missed the shoot.

The most awaited game of the round was that between Hertha BSC and Bayern Munich. Bayern sacked Carlo Ancelotti this week after the worst defeat in Bayern's history in the Champions League group phase. The loss in the Bundesliga against Hoffenheim was also the only loss Bayern has had during Oktoberfest time in history. With the interim trainer Willy Sagnol, which wrote history for Bayern as a player, they visited Berlin.

The game started as hopped for Bayern, with two goals, one in the 10th minute by Mats Hummels and one after the break in the 46th minute by Robert Lewandowski.

In just 5 minutes the 51th and 56th Ondrej Duda and Salomon Kalou turned the game and scored for Hertha. Bayern was pushing for the win but couldn't make it. The game showed us that the dominance of Bayern in Germany is over, or at least has ended for this season.

The last game ended as expected with a win for RB Leipzig over FC Köln. Köln has only 1 point this season and it seems they didn't get over the bad start. RB Leipzig despite the loss in Champion League shows a great appetite for play. Like last season they show that their attack is one of the strongest assets in their possession.

They scored two goals first in the 30th minute by Lukas Klostermann and the second in the 80th by Yussuf Poulsen. Köln managed to score one goal in the 82nd minute with the shoot by Yuya Osako, but it lacked the strength to achieve more.

The round confirmed us that Bayern has problems, that Dortmund and Leipzig will be strong contenders this year, that despite the loses Hoffenheim and Hannover have a word to say this season and the Bundesliga is again open compared to last year where it was dominated by Bayern

well written, klasse geschrieben - about the best football league in the world!

Danke! This league I know because I live here. Maybe I will do also a report from a live game ;)

That would be brilliant! Live stream steemit posts

great info, missed some of the games at least am updated now, Bayern luck of win continues , borusia dortmund on top of the league , the game has really change from last year

Bayern struggles this year, I think they will have major problems in champions league, also with Ribbery out.

I still have Bayern winning the league, but thats just my opinion and I have a bet on it so have to hope so haha! What are you thinking?

Bayern is still top favourite, but Borussia and Leipzig can post a challenge. They all play in Champions League, so the entire squad will have a word to say because the amount of games is huge. Hoffenheim and Hannover look far better than last year.

I hope Borussia and think Hoffenheim has a chance too - it is time we get a different German champion again, if not this season, never!

Borussia, Hoffenheim and Leipzig have very offensive play styles, which is also a pleasure to watch, for the competition would be good to have also another champion. It will give hope for other teams.

Yes yes yes - the only guy I loved at Bayern was our lovely Franz lol
