The Premier League’s longest-serving manager, Arsene Wenger has named the candidate he would like to replace him at Arsenal.
According to a recent publication by the Daily Sun, Arsene Wenger wants former Arsenal player, Giovanni van Bronckhorst as his replacement, when he decides to leave the Emirates.

The 68-year-old French manager has been at Arsenal since joining them in 1992. His current contract runs until the end of the next season, and the Gunners Boss could leave at the end of his contract.
According to report, Arsene Wenger sees the 42-year-old Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who was a former Arsenal player, as a top candidate to take over from him when he decides to step down.
Also, among the penned down candidates, is current Bournemouth boss, Eddie Howe. Although, Monsieur Wenger admires Van Bronckhorst work under a tight budget with his present club, Feyenoord.
Van Bronckhorst equally has the same admiration for Arsene Wenger, his achievements with the side and the legacy Wenger has built with the Arsenal side.
Reportedly, the Arsenal board are equally interested in the Dutchman and are hoping to bring him back to the North London side.
Giovanni Van Bronckhorst spent two seasons with Arsenal under Arsene Wenger and won the Premier League title and the F.A. Cup, during that time.
Van Bronckhorst then left for Barcelona where he won two La Liga titles (2004 - 2005, 2005 - 2006) and the Champions’ league (2005 – 2006).

Van Bronckhorst has managed Feyenoord since 2015 and led them in his second season-in-charge to their first League title win in 18 years.
He was the assistant manager from 2011 – 2014 under then Feyenoord Manager, Ronald Koeman. He was also assistant under Fred Rutten from 2014 - 2015, before getting the top position, when Fred Rutten left the club at the end of that season.

I pray wenger would be willing to let go this time around. Van bronckhorsk is not a bad choice but i was gunning for thierry henry to replace wenger.
I can understand your view @articsports. However, i don't think Thierry Henry is ripe enough to get into management so soon. He hasn't had any managerial experience of leading a club all by himself, yet. Unlike, Van Bronckhorst who is now a league Champion with his Feyenoord side.
