NHL Fantasy Tonight
NHL Fantasy Picks 1/16/2018.
Welcome back to another edition of the NHL Fantasy Tonight!
Auston Matthews C 7700. Matthews has finally moved back to the first power play unit recently after taking 5 and 6 shots consistently on the 2nd power play unit. Don't let the recent production fool you. It takes a few games to get used too and gel in line transitions. This is a perfect spot for Matthews to breakout.
Taylor Hall W 7700. Hall has been a wrecking machine lately. Back to back games with 8 and 10 shots on goal. That is insane! New Jersey has dropped 6 in a row. They finally get the Islanders coming on a back to back. There is no downside here, Hall is just firing right now. Expect him to be involved trying to help New Jersey break this embarrassing losing streak.
Tyler Seguin C 8500. Seguin has been on fire since moving back to the 1st power play unit 8 games ago. He a pair of games over 6 shots in the last 4. 3 goals and 2 assists in the last 4. And too boot Dallas is beating teams in deciding fashion. I think it is safe to say Seguin and the Stars are peaking right now. Play with confidence.
Logan Couture C 6800. What has gotten into Couture lately? 2 goals and 3 assists in the last 4. A pair of 5 and 6 shot games in the last 3. And the Sharks keep on losing anyway. Well today they draw the worst team in the NHL, the Arizona Coyotes. Expect the Sharks to come out firing on all cylinders. I will happily buy into the recent form of Couture in this spot.
P.K. Subban D 6000. I am not of fan of targeting Nashville in fantasy, but how about the floor on Subban lately! The veteran is on the ice 25 plus minutes and he is taking shots. Constantly 3 shots a game, with an upside of 6 shots per game. That coupled with his blocks, he is again fantasy viable. At home against a weak Vegas squad, I will take the floor on Subban in the majority of my lineups this evening.
