MLB Fantasy 4/18

We are back with another edition of MLB Fantasy Today!

K Maeda P 8800. This pick is more about the Padres offense than Maeda. The Padres rank only 26th in batting average and 24th in on base %. Maeda is a more than capable pitcher and I have him rated #1 on my pitching depth chart today.

P Goldschmidt C/1B 4300. Although Goldschmidt is only batting .232 so far on the season, his on base % is .386 and he has hit 4 home runs. He is a sleeper pick today as the Giants starting pitcher is off to a good start with an ERA of 2.60 so ownership should be low. I like him to reach base at least twice.

D LeMahieu 2B 4100. He is off to a great start this year and is batting .297 with 5 home runs. He loves playing in Pittsburgh and has had a lot of success there. He only has one stolen base so far this season but I think he will try to swipe a base or two today if the opportunity presents itself.

M Davidson 3B 3900. It is ether feast or famine for Davidson this year. He has 5 home runs but 20 strike outs. I love his match-up against Andrew Triggs today and the warm(er) weather in Oakland (it is snowing in Chicago). Davidson should rip his 6th home run tonight.
