The #3 Texas Tech Red Raiders will face the #6 Florida Gators today in the second round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The game tips off at 7:40pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on TNT. It will take place at the AA Center in Dallas Texas. Texas Tech is favored by 1.5 points and the over/under is 133 points.

This could be a historic year for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. A win today and they will be in the Sweet 16. That is something that does not happen often. They trailed for most of the game on Thursday against Stephen F. Austin but were able to pull away late for the 70-60 victory. Guard Keenan Evans played dynamite basketball down the stretch and he should be poised for another big effort today. The Red Raiders have a fantastic 3 guard line up that includes Evans, Smith and Culver. All 3 of them are averaging in double figures and should be able to give the Gators fits today.

The Florida Gators had a comfortable win over St. Bonaventure on Thursday. They won 77-62 and never trailed. Jalen Hudson is leading the team in scoring at 15.6 points per game but it will also be important for him to step up his play on the defense end against the talented trio of guards for the Red Raiders. Egor Koulechov will need to hit the boards and keep the paint in control of the Gators.

Neither team likes to play at a fast pace and this will be a low scoring game in the 60’s. Whoever can limit their turnovers will be advancing on to the Sweet 16.
