#1 VIllanova on upset alert against #9 Alabama

Another number 1 seed is on upset alert today when the #1 Villanova Wildcats take on the #9 Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The game tips off at 12:10pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on CBS. It will take place at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Villanova is favored by 11.5 points and the over/under is 149 points.

The Villanova Wildcats had no troubles with Radford on Thursday and they will now face their first test in the tournament. Head coach Jay Wright needs to make sure his players take them seriously and don’t take their eye off the prize of continuing on to the Sweet 16 next weekend. Point guard Jaylen Brunson will certainly be ready to lead the team today. Brunson is likely going to win the player of the year award and he will want to push the pace today and get Makil Bridges going early. Bama doesn’t have anyone that can handle Bridges on the wing and he could be in for a huge game.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are coming off of a big win on Thursday against Virginia Tech 86-83. Guard Colin Sexton continues to play great and will have to have a monster game today to help his team keep pace with the high powered Villanova offense. Donta Hall will also be key and needs to step up his production from his 10 point per game average. Head coach Avery Johnson is confident though that his Crimson Tide team can pull off the shocker.
